The Team

We’re a well-coordinated, professionally prepared, highly motivated team. We really love our work and you can see this when you enter a classroom and feel the great atmosphere in our school. We’ve introduced ourselves below - come and see us!

Jorge Sánchez

Jorge Sánchez
My name is Jorge and I was born in Badalona, just outside Barcelona. My great hobby is learning languages and so I love to teach mine. After graduating, I worked as a Spanish Teacher in Greece and there I learned that tearning a language is a lot easier if you feel good about where you are. For me, a school should be a meeting place with a great environment conducive to quality learning.

Laura Múrtula

Laura Múrtula
Hi! I'm Laura. I've lived in Barcelona for many years but am originally from Alicante. After studying sociology in university, I decided to move to England. It was there I discovered that I really liked teaching. I was working with children and adults and ended up specialising in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. We started to think about founding our own school, and... here we are!

Raquel Villagraz

Raquel Villagraz
Hello all! I'm Raquel and though I'm Catalan by birth, my roots are as Andalucian as Gazpacho. One of my hobbies is the theatre but I love art and culture in general. My ideal city should be next to sea and mountain because I love to enjoy nature. For that, Barcelona is perfect, don't you think? Over the past few years, I lived in England where some outstanding teachers taught me English, and also showed me just how fascinating a language class can be. Their enthusiasm and dedication inspired me to train as a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language and thanks to them, here I am in DIME, trying to make students have fun, feel comfortable, and learn to communicate in Spanish in their daily lives.

Laura Roso

Laura Roso
Hi, my name is Laura and I'm from Pineda de Mar. Since I was little I knew that my calling was languages. I wanted to understand how did the human being communicate and, more importantly, teach it to others. I kept studying languages every time more ancient until I sort of reached their beginning. And then? Then, after trying to teach dead languages without being able to talk them, after living in several countries and having an interesting round the world trip I realized that the most important thing about languages is its speakers. Teaching my own language is my way to understand it and to transmit it. Dime school, besides, has shown me that doing it can be fun for me and fun for my students. I can't imagine myself doing another job!

Montse Miñana

Montse Miñana
My name is Montse and although I was born in Badalona, I grew up in Castille, in Madrid and Guadalajara, to be precise. I lived in London for some years and I graduated in Spanish and Latin American studies at Birkbeck College, where I also made some very good friends. I came back a few years ago and decided to become a Spanish teacher, so I took a teacher training course and did a master in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I love teaching and learning and meeting people from other countries, so I think at Dime I’m at the right place!

The Dime Reception is open from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Later visits are possible by agreement.

I find the teachers at Dime to be knowledgeable and engaging. After a long day of work I like that my hour of spanish class is a highlight of my day rather than a chore because it is fun and enjoyable." Alethea Young
