At the end of the Spanish winter, the people of Barcelona find time for yet another fiesta, this time in honor of Saint Eulalia (Santa Eulalia in Spanish) one of the patron saints of Barcelona.

For 3 days in February, there are parades of giant puppets (gegants), fireworks, human castle building (castellers), and many activities during the day, which are very appealing to kids young and old. Dime Barcelona especially likes the Llum BCN event, which is a route through the Old City to different spectacular light installations.

When: For 2017, events are scheduled both day and night from Friday, February 10th through Sunday, February 12th.

Where: Various venues in Barcelona, mostly in areas around the Ciutat Vella (or Old City).

For more specific information, check out the official Fiesta de Santa Eulalia site for more details.
