Spanish school activity in Barcelona: Vermut in “calle Parlament”

Some weeks ago Dime Spanish school organized the monthly traditional Vermut for all the Spanish students. This time we changed a little bit our traditions and we decided to leave Gracia area and visit a different area of Barcelona: Sant Antoni. This neighborhood is becoming more and more popular, especially for its famous street “calle Parlament”. This street is full nice and interesting bars in which you can spend the afternoon and the evening. You can both take a coffee with some incredible hand made cakes or take a vermut and some tapas. We chose the second options :) .

Teachers and students from different groups and levels took part in the event. Students who attend our intensive courses in the morning met those who are attending our Spanish courses in the afternoon. All of them had the opportunity to meet new people and to practice their Spanish. We had a very nice time as you can see in the video!

The tradition of Vermut in Barcelona is now in and trendy. There are a lots of bars where you can try it. In this link you can find some of these bars.

Every week Dime Spanish School organizes extra activities outside the school. If you want to participate you can check them in our facebook page: DimeBarcelona facebook page Here you can also find more picture of the event.

The next Vermut will be this Friday 22nd of August at 18.00. We are going to a bar called “Els Sortidors de Parlament” at the beginning of Parlament street. It is a quite big local, very nicely decorated. The vermut is good and the tapas very tasty, especially the “coca de recapte“.

See you there!!
